School lessons about animal welfare and pet husbandry.
After two Covid years, we were able to resume school lessons in 2022. All of our partner vets are required to visit schools and teach about proper pet keeping and handling street dogs.
After two challenging years, in which the Covid pandemic significantly restricted public life and school operations in particular, we were finally able to make our school visits again in 2022. The opportunity to continue our education on animal welfare is particularly important to us as they play a central role in our mission. Education is the key to a better understanding of how to handle animals responsibly.
Our partner vets are required to visit schools and teach students how to properly keep pets. It is particularly important to us to teach the younger generations how to treat animals with respect and reduce potential misunderstandings or fears.
Another central aspect of the lesson is how to handle street dogs. In many regions, street dogs are part of everyday life, but there is often a lack of knowledge about how to behave properly with them. Our school visits explain possible dangers, but also show how these animals can be treated with care and respect. The aim is to reduce anxiety, promote understanding and create a long-term society in which humans and animals can live together harmoniously.
Thanks to the commitment of our partner veterinarians and the support of schools, we were able to reach many children and adolescents again in 2022 and sensitize them to handle animals responsibly.
