Help us save lives!

Countless dogs fight for their survival on the streets of Kosovo every day. Many of them are ownerless, others belong to impoverished owners who have great financial difficulties caring for their loyal friends. This is where our SOS stray dog program comes in. We are doing everything we can to alleviate the suffering of these animals and to sustainably improve their quality of life on the roads as well. Our main goal is to implement a comprehensive castration program known as a “catch-neuter-vaccinate-release”. This program not only helps to control the stray dog population but also protects animals from dangerous diseases and injuries. But in order to continue this important work, we need your support.

An essential part of our mission is the construction of small animal clinics and sanctuaries. These sanctuaries offer refuge for dogs who can no longer return to the streets, whether due to old age, illness or because they have been victims of abuse. In these safe havens, dogs receive the necessary care and love that they so urgently need, up to a possible adoption. We are currently working in four regions of Kosovo and are striving to help even more dogs in need. But in order to be able to implement all these plans, we need your help. Your donation can have a direct impact on the lives of these innocent souls. With your support, we can further expand the SOS stray dog program, castrate and vaccinate more dogs and establish further sanctuaries. Every euro counts and brings us one step closer to the goal of creating a better life for street dogs in Kosovo. Please help us give these animals better health. Together, we can make a difference 💚 ** #SOSStrassenhunde #GnadenhofKosovo #HundeHelfen **

SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING

Social media offers the opportunity to unite global communities around a common cause: giving street dogs a voice and offering them the chance of a loving home. With every like, share, and comment, the hope grows that these loyal companions get the recognition and happiness they deserve. By using social media marketing intelligently, we can not only raise awareness, but also make real changes. We're working on it - and any volunteer expert who wants to help is welcome!

NATIONWIDE INFORMATION CAMPAIGNS IN THE SOUTH-WEST BALKANS

Together with the Kosovo Animal Rights Foundation, we have prepared an information campaign for the people of Kosovo. The multi-coloured poster is designed by Matias Peitzolenka from Halle/DE. The other posters were designed in Kosovo by the Animal Rights Foundation. Everything will be translated into Serbian and for Montenegro into Montenegrin. Following the mayoral elections at the end of October 2021, the campaign started in Kosovo: It cost us around 10,000 euros by mid-2022. On the one hand, posters were posted on the main roads, then in shopping malls and finally everything was repeatedly posted on Instagram and Facebook.

We also disseminate on YouTube Educational films.

HOW TO AVOID DOG BITES?

Illustration Wie Hundebisse vermeiden für Bildung in Kosovo

New educational program to avoid dog bites for Albanian-speaking parents and their children.

With the kind permission of the Zurich Veterinary Office, we were able to translate the appropriate texts into Albanian. El Zonko from Hal Media made the drawings for us. Everything was translated by Dea Hysa.

These booklets are available in Kosovo from our vet at Pro Vet Clinic Gjakova, blendibejdoni (at) hotmail.com
