Castration project Bosnia

New project in Bosnia

Collaboration with local NGOs

Just in time for August 1st, in collaboration with @Hopefordogsbih, we started with the prevention program to treat owned dogs of owners which cannot afford to visit a veterinarian. The plan is to treat 200 dogs by the end of the year. If the pilot project and collaboration is successful, we will continue it in 2026 - with your help!

We are willing to help in Bosnia straydogs and owned dogs with local helpers. The plan is to treat 200 dogs by the end of the year. If the pilot project and collaboration is successful, we will continue it in 2026 - with your help!

The mayor of the city Cazin has been informed about our animal welfare efforts and agrees as long as we do not open animal shelters. Like us, he is a determined opponent of animal shelters whose maintenance in a poor country is barely possible in the long term. Adoptions of dogs hardly take place. That's why CNVR - catch-neuter-vaccinate-release is the only working local method.

In addition, just as in Kosovo, we offer dog owners with no or too little income castration - thus putting an end to the killing and suspension of puppies!
