Continuing education in Vushtrri with DVM Zenel Zhabari, 2020
Word is getting around — the Ovariectomy small incision technique has aroused the interest of many veterinarians, particularly in Kosovo. This technique, which is a minimally invasive method for castrating animals, has proven to be extremely effective and gentle on animals and is increasingly being used by veterinarians worldwide. Interest in this progressive method also increased in Kosovo, which makes us very happy and encourages us to further expand our commitment.
In December 2020 Two began Large veterinarians from Malishevo, who had previously worked with larger incisions when castrating animals, their private training in the small incision technique. These two veterinarians, who are well known in the region, were particularly interested in improving their practical skills and integrating the small-cut technique into their daily work. The training took place under our guidance and we were able to teach them the right procedures and techniques that are less invasive and lead to faster healing of the animals.
Thanks to positive feedbacks and the successful implementation Of the techniques they had learned, the two vets decided to continue the training in 2021. The plan is to involve even more veterinarians from the region and to introduce small-cut technology on a wider basis. This method is not only more animal-friendly, but also more efficient for the veterinarians themselves, as they can perform the procedure with less effort and in a shorter time.
The positive response to the training and the growing interest in small-cut technology in Kosovo are promising signs that we are taking an important step in improving veterinary medicine and animal welfare in the region. Our long-term vision is to provide sustainable education that empowers veterinarians in Kosovo and beyond to provide the best care for their patients. We hope that this initiative will continue to inspire many veterinarians and help improve the quality of life for animals in Kosovo.
