Seminar for Veterinarians in Kosovo

From April 27 to May 1, 2018, our second five-day seminar for major veterinarians took place in Kosovo. It was financed by our foundation, organized by the Veterinary Association “Oda e Veterinarisë” and led by two vets from the “Slovenian Vets for Stray Pets”, the two veterinarians DVM Jurij Zel and DVM Blaz Vrtachnik. Qendrim Kida from Fushë Kosova provided his clinic for practical training.

In a theoretical part, the behavior of dogs was explained, how it should be assessed and how veterinarians should treat the dogs with affection. In the remaining 4 1/2 days, the castrations and other treatments of street dogs were carried out with 12 veterinarians from the country. These veterinarians have applied for the state's CNVR tenders and must therefore master the small-cut technique.
