Working for Kosovan stray dogs

2nd newspaper report about our work in Kosovo

Second newspaper report about our work in Kosovo

Focus on Nagavc Sanctuary

In another detailed article, the newspaper REGIO reports on our animal welfare work in Kosovo. While the first article was about our general activities, this second article is entirely dedicated to Sanctuary in Nagavc, the former home of numerous dogs that had little chance of placement due to age, illness or disability. These animals, which often had to fight to survive on the streets for years, finally found a safe place with us where they could rest.

The description of everyday life on the farm is particularly moving: from morning feeding to veterinary care to the loving care of each individual dog — the commitment of our helpers is impressively presented. With noticeable empathy, the REGIO journalist describes how much passion goes into this project and the great responsibility that goes with caring for these often forgotten animals.

Many of the dogs that were reported in the article are still alive today — now in new sanctuary in Gjakova, which we purchased for various practical and logistical reasons. They have grown older, but they live safely, without fear and with daily attention. The article underlines that animal welfare does not stop with castration, but is also important where animals deserve to age with dignity.

We would like to thank the REGIO editorial team from the bottom of our hearts for their repeated reporting, which brings our work closer to a wider audience. For us, such articles are not only recognition, but also motivation — and an important mouthpiece for all those animals that no one else sees.
