Report about StrayCoco in “Partner Dog”

The magazine “Partner dog” has published a detailed report on our work in the Southwest Balkans. The focus is on the female dog Tigrica, whose moving story is representative of the fate of many street dogs in this region. The article documents how Tigrica was rescued by StrayCoco — emaciated, ill and frightened — and was able to develop into a healthy, cheerful and people-oriented dog thanks to intensive care.

The report not only highlights Tigrica's personal journey, but also the difficult conditions on the ground: lack of medical care, lack of awareness of animal welfare, and the large number of stray dogs that fight to survive every day. At the same time, the article shows how important long-term aid is — through education, castrations, medical care and the development of sustainable structures.

The author accompanied our work in the region over several days and gives insights into the everyday life of our veterinarians and volunteers, who often take care of the animals under challenging conditions — with heart, competence and perseverance.

We are delighted to receive this article, which not only honors our work but also helps to draw more attention to the plight of street dogs in the Southwest Balkans. Every story like Tigrica's makes it clear how much hope there is in every life saved.
